Tina Knowles has strong words for social media users who criticized Beyoncé’s complexion and styling at the premiere of her Renaissance World Tour concert film.

On Tuesday, Knowles, 69, shared a lengthy Instagram post calling out those who accused her daughter, 42, of “lightening her skin.” The caption was coupled with a video of Beyoncé throughout the years. However, the cover shot was at the center of the debate.

“Came across this today and decided to post it after seeing all of the stupid ignorant self, hating racist statements about her, lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair wanting to be white,” Knowles began in the upload, which was set to Beyoncé’s song “Brown Skin Girl.”

The main image on the post was a picture of the Grammy winner at the Los Angeles premiere of her Renaissance World Tour concert film at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Saturday night.

Standing in front of a silver backdrop for pictures at the event, Beyoncé wore a custom silver chainmail gown by Versace. She accessorized the look with matching silver opera gloves and silver heeled sandals.

The “Break My Soul” singer also rocked platinum, long blonde hair styled in a sleek middle part.

Knowles’ message continued, condemning those who entertained a “stupid narrative with hate and jealousy.”

“She does a film, called the renaissance, where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggested silver attire and you bozos decide that she’s trying to be a white woman and is bleaching her skin?”

Knowles was seemingly pointing to social media comments implying that Beyoncé’s skin was lighter than it had been in the past or that she was trying to be someone else.

“Duh, she wore silver hair to match her silver dress as a fashion statement clown. . ALIEN Superstar duh!” she added, referring to one of Beyoncé’s songs from her latest studio album.

Knowles also alleged that “a white woman [from TMZ] had the audacity to reach out” to one of her daughter’s hairstylists “to get a statement” regarding the situation.

The mother of two added that she was “sick and tired” of people “attacking” her oldest child when Beyoncé “minds her own business … helps people whenever she can … lifts up & promotes black women and underdogs at all times.”

Her post gained massive support.

Octavia Spencer commented, “@mstinaknowles You have raised beautiful, strong, intelligent black, PROUD TO BE BLACK women. Period. Anyone who says otherwise has their own issues to deal with. I’m sorry you’ve come across the negative comments that people don’t realize is a reflection of how they feel about themselves.”

Another person quoted a line Beyoncé delivered in her 2020 collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion: “‘My mama is a savage yeah I got that sh*t from Tina!’👏👏.”

Others who commented included Cynthia Erivo and Knowles’ grandson, Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr., who wrote, “Talk to ‘em grandma, They need it.”
