Shania Twain catches heat for blonde look at awards show

Shania is currently regarded as a genre icon, a singer whose appeal has endured for decades and expanded over the globe. The Dude! I Have a Womanly Feeling! It is undeniable that the hitmaker has earned her stripes, so it should not have been shocking that she was selected to host the People’s Choice Country Music Awards.

The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee hosted the gala last Thursday, September 26, and it attracted a lot of attention. As it was, Shania was in the center of a lot of it, albeit maybe not for the reasons she would have preferred.

Shania wore multiple outfits that evening, as is customary for extravagant celebrations of this nature. They included a black cape over a satin miniskirt and a strapless corset top, as well as a white fringe suit and cowboy hat combo.

Later, the People’s Choice Country Awards official Twitter account decided to honor her appearance in a shimmering crimson gown. Let’s just say she looked amazing in whatever she wore. But from a woman with the grace and style of the now 59-year-old Twain, what more is to be expected?

Regretfully, not everybody is in agreement. No, following the awards, Twain’s hosting performance was criticized online, and her wardrobe choices also sparked discussion.

The icon of country music chose an eye-catching all-denim look on the red carpet at the event, and although some fans weren’t impressed, the singer received a lot of love from others.

One fan said, “This look DOES impress me much 🤩🤩.”

“Looking like a beautiful Barbie doll with that hair,” another person commented. I adore it 🎥🎥🎥🎥

Generally speaking, the critics seemed to believe that Twain had lost her identity (whatever that implies). Some even attacked her blonde hair, saying that she was “ruining her looks.”

On Instagram, someone said, “Totally ruined her looks.”

“Yikes 😬 that doesn’t suit her,” another person said. Not so much with blondes either.

A third person said, “She’s not recognizable now; too sad.”

A fourth said, “Bring back the brunette [color].”

“I miss the Shania from back in the 1990s,” another person remarked.

“You look fantastic my queen @shaniatwain obsessed with you,” a third person said.
