Famously played by Viggo Mortensen, Robbie explicitly stated during a recent interview with W Magazine
that the first person that comes to mind when thinking of movie crushes is indeed Mortensen’s Aragorn.
It’s safe to say she’s not alone on that one.
When talking about Barbie alongside her co-star Ryan Gosling, the pair were asked who their “cinematic crush” was – to which both openly answered.Gosling opened up first by jokingly confessing: “I saw Raquel Welch on The Muppet Show when I was young… she was dressed like a cave woman… she was dancing with a big puppet spider… and I liked it.”

Just after Gosling finished revealing his cinematic crush, Robbie went on to talk about hers.“Obviously there have been many – over the years,” Robbie began. She continued: “But the one that comes to mind, Aragorn, from Lord of the Rings.”Gosling then asked Robbie if she meant Aragorn “from the book” or Viggo Mortensen, to which Robbie answered “Viggo Mortensen in Lord of the Rings as Aragorn… Strider,” with no hesitation.
Mortensen starred as the Tolkien-created character Aragorn in three live-action movie instalments of Peter Jackson’s saga of movies set in the fantasy world of Middle-earth – a set of movies that are still rewatched yearly since their release in the early 2000s.It’s fair to say that Mortensen’s portrayal of the famous Dúnedain Aragorn went on to become either someone’s movie crush or idol, or both – probably both.
