Since Celine Dion announced her diagnosis, she has receded from the limelight. Her sister, Claudette Dion, has been providing fans with updates on what has been going on in the singer’s life.

“She’s doing everything to recover. She’s a strong woman,” Claudette said in an interview, She added that little is little known about the condition, even by the Dion family. Celine’s older sister also mentioned how the family can do little about the “pain” the singer is in.

74-year-old Claudette talked about the symptoms her sister is suffering from, she said, “There are spasms – they’re impossible to control. You know when people often jump up in the night because of a cramp in the leg or the calf? It’s a bit like that, but in all muscles.”

Dion revealed her diagnosis late last year in December 2022. She posted an emotional video on social media to tell her fans about her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome and to announce that her tour was indefinitely postponed.

She said the condition was also affecting her vocal cords and hence, her ability to sing, which is why she had put a pin in her Courage world tour till she felt she was better enough to take the stage again.

The pop sensation has since then been working with “a great team of doctors” and also working with a sports-medicine therapist to regain her strength.

She is now living at home with her three sons, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson. She shared all three boys with her late husband, René Angelil, who died in January 2016 at age 73 years old.

In 2008, the couple purchased a five-acre plot of land. Two years later they began to build their dream home on the piece of land from scratch.

The home was inspired by the Bahamas, it had 13 bedrooms with 14 bathrooms. The home also had a lot of water features, which included two pools, slides, as well as lazy river.

But the singer sold her dream home to move to Las Vegas, where she had signed a residency deal in 2005. She thought the move would make it easier for her family to be together.

Her original home, which she built, remained on the market for quite a while before the singer managed to sell it four years later for the price of $38.5 million. She sold the home only a year after her beloved husband had passed away.

She reportedly also sold a property in Summerlin, Las Vegas, in April 2023. She made $30 million on the sale and then bought the newly constructed mansion in 2017 for $9.2 million.

ShutterstockShe spent time and money renovating the properly before selling it this year. It is unclear whether she ever lived in the home or bought it for the purpose of flipping it and making some money.

The house sits on 31,000 square feet and looks over a golf course. It has an underground garage as well as a huge swimming pool. The inside boasts four bedrooms and twelve bathrooms. The basement is finished and the home also has a fully functional spa.

But Celine is currently residing in a 1.5-acre home in Las Vegas. The home is located in Henderson, Nevada. She purchased it in 2003 with her husband for a reported $1.2 million. She renovated the home after she moved in.

The home sits on an acre of land that spans over 8,100 square feet. It has four bedrooms, six bathrooms and three fireplaces.

During the pandemic, Celine would often film videos from her kitchen and ask her followers to stay home. The videos gave a glimpse of her kitchen, which featured large shelving.

The theme seemed to be white gloss-fronted cabinets and stainless-steel fittings. Another room in the house featured a white theme decorated with white leather tub chairs, a high-shine white table, and drapes. In addition to that, the singer reportedly added a collection of candles to the space to give it a more cozy feeling.

The house also has a detached 2,000 square feet guest house which has a bedroom and a bathroom. The grounds of the home have a basketball court and an impressive pool. The home is now estimated to be worth $4.5 million.

She still owns multiple properties, including a home in Montreal, in her native home province, Québec. Celine has found a lot of success in performing on the Las Vegas strip for the last 20 years at the Colosseum and Caesar’s Palace.

When she began her residency, the singer earned about $500,000 per show, which meant just performing 3-5 shows a week; the singer took home an average of $2 million monthly.

Caesar’s Palace built a 4,000-seat arena, which was inspired by the Roman Colosseum. The singer’s residency was called “A New Day,” and it became an instant success. She performed sold-out shows back to back!

Celine Dion is one of the best of her generation and is loved by millions of people around the world. The “My Heart Will Go On,” singer has a made her mark on history and has gained a lot of awards for her singing abilities.
