In the newly released clip, former costars, sitcom love interests, and longtime friends Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are together again onscreen—though Aniston seems to have forgotten they ever knew each other.
As the commercial begins, Aniston gets an Uber Eats delivery from a driver who says she didn’t realize all of the things the star purchased were available on the app.
“Well, you know what they say: In order to remember something, you gotta forget something else—make a little room,” Aniston tells the driver.
We then cut to a montage of characters forgetting the most simple things—including David and Victoria Beckham, who can’t remember which pop group Posh Spice was in. “Remember when you used to be a Pepper Lady?” David asks his wife. “Wasn’t it the Cinnamon Sisters?” she asks. “Basil Babes?” he offers. “Paprika Girls?” she says. “No, that’s absurd,” David concludes.
Rapper and singer Jelly Roll also shows up, unable to remember how he got all of those tattoos. “Did someone doodle on my face?” he asks, looking in the mirror.
Back in the parking lot where Aniston received her order, she is greeted by her Friends costar Schwimmer. “Jen—hey!” he says, smiling as he approaches her. But when he goes in for a hug, Aniston backs away. “Okay?” he says, confused.
“Have we met?” she asks. “Give me a hint.”
“Worked together for 10 years,” he tells her, unamused.
“Ten years!” she says. “You were great.”
Knowing she’s bluffing, Schimmer remarks, “You still don’t know, do you?”
“I don’t,” Aniston admits. She walks away, scoffing, “Like I’d forget 10 years of my life.”
“I hate this town,” Schwimmer remarks of Hollywood.
The commercial closes with a warning that, whatever you forget, you should remember Uber Eats delivers all kinds of goods.
The funny ad marks the first time the Friends stars have reunited onscreen since the passing of costar Matthew Perry.
