Sasha Alexander, known for her role as Agent Kate Todd in NCIS, has maintained a busy schedule with various shows and films following her departure from the series.
Kate Todd played a crucial role in the NCIS team until her shocking exit in the second season when she was shot in the head by double-agent Ari Haswari. His half-sister, Ziva David, ultimately fatally shot him.
Post-NCIS, Sasha Alexander featured in several shows and films, including “Lucky 13,” “Yes Man,” “Friends,” “The Ride,” “He’s Just Not That Into You,” “Mission: Impossible III,” and “FBI.”
One of her standout roles was as Maura Isles in the series “Rizzoli & Isles,” where she starred for six years. Additionally, she portrayed Helene Runyon in the SAG Award-winning series “Shameless.”
Recently, Sasha lent her voice to Adeline in the animated film “Deathstroke Knights and Dragons,” starred in “Dangerous Lies,” and made an appearance in an episode of “Law and Order.”
In her personal life, Sasha is married to Edoardo Ponti, whom she met at USC’s film school, and they tied the knot in 2007. Interestingly, she is the daughter-in-law of legendary Italian actress Sophia Loren, who is Edoardo’s mother, from her marriage to Carlo Ponti.
Sasha and Edoardo share two children, a daughter named Lucia Sofia Ponti and a son named Leonardo Fortunato Ponti.
In May, the former NCIS star celebrated her 50th birthday with loved ones in Paris.
